NATHANIEL LACHENMEYER writes for children and adults across poetry, fiction, and nonfiction. His books include The Outsider, a memoir of his father, a sociology professor who developed schizophrenia and died after being homeless, and the picture books The Origami Master and Broken Beaks; his all-ages graphic novel The Singing Rock & Other Brand-New Fairy Tales appeared from First Second. His recent poems and stories have run in The American Poetry Review, New York Quarterly, Subtropics, and Epiphany, among others. He lives outside Atlanta.
