At 14, DAMIANO ERRICO (Caserta, Italy, 1970) enrolled at the Institute of Art in San Leucio https://isasanleucio.edu.it/, where he met the painting master Bruno Donzelli, a fundamental encounter for his artistic education. He spent an extended period assisting the master in his studio and learning painting techniques. After graduating, he enrolled at the Fine Arts Academy of Naples http://www.abana.it/it/accademia/, where he studied photography with Mimmo Jodice. Meeting Jodice, he states, opened new artistic and visual horizons: photography! From the first meeting with the master until today, no day goes by without living through photography.
Damiano periodically exhibits in galleries and museums and teaches his photographic experiences through photography workshops and seminars. He says he has always experienced an internal conflict between painting and photography. In recent years, he has been engaged in a pantheistic vision of photography, where all arts seek to converge, and all years of artistic experiences come together instantly. He currently lives in Caiazzo, a small hilltop village. He manages a bed and breakfast to accommodate his students for photography courses, workshops, and one-on-one sessions.
