RAJNI PERERA (b. 1985, Sri Lanka) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Toronto, Canada. Through a vibrant practice that includes drawing, painting, sculpture, textiles, ceramics, woodwork, new media, lantern-making, and synthetic taxidermy, Perera explores themes of hybridity, futurity, ancestral narratives, migration, and marginalized identities. Her work aims to subvert and challenge oppressive discourses, using a dynamic visual language that is both restorative and revolutionary.

Perera holds a BFA in Drawing and Painting from OCAD University (2011). Her work is prominently featured in major collections, including the Art Gallery of Ontario, the National Gallery of Canada, the Sobey Foundation, and the Musée des beaux-arts de Montréal.
