KATHLEEN FRANK is a Santa Fe–based artist who travels throughout the American Southwest and West, photographing expansive vistas as the foundation for her landscape paintings. Her work uses vibrant color to explore light, pattern, and an underlying logic within complex terrains, where abstraction and observation quietly intersect.
Frank’s upcoming exhibitions include a solo show at the Northwest Montana History Museum and a group exhibition at Lincoln Center Art Gallery. Previous exhibitions include the High Desert Museum, where she received the Curator’s Choice Award, as well as the Museum of Western Art, Roux & Cyr Gallery, Jane Hamilton Fine Art, and La Posada de Santa Fe. Her work has been featured in LandEscape Art Review, MVIBE, Art Reveal, Magazine 43, and Southwest Art. Through the Art in Embassies program, the U.S. State Department selected her work for exhibition at the U.S. Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. More of her work may be appreciated on her website.
