Miami native ROBIN JACK SARNER’s focus is to capture the essence of emotions through textures and colors in abstract mixed media. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Art Education from Florida Southern College, and currently, her work, informed by personal and familial history, ephemera, and vintage findings, invites viewers to connect with their narratives. Robin’s intuitive layering with acrylics and found objects weaves visual stories of self-discovery and validation. Inspired by abstract expressionists, she encourages viewers to find resonance and remembrance in the emotional dimensions of her canvases. Robin exhibits her work and creates abstract art curricula for local school districts serving over 10,000 children. In college, Robin was the sole recipient of the prestigious Albert Key award, the highest honor a senior art student could receive from the college art department. Robin is internationally known, with several exhibitions and placement awards in California, Florida, New York, Spain, and Germany. Her works have been published in art magazines, and, most recently, she was interviewed by New & Abstract for their ART Radar blog.
