ZAMIRA KRISTINA SKALKOTTAS teaches at the International Community School in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where she works within a diverse, international academic community. Alongside her work in education, she writes essays attentive to place, culture, and the lived textures of travel.

Her work has appeared in The Los Angeles Review, Wilderness House Literary Review, Roads & Kingdoms, Paris Lit Up, and Culinary Backstreets, publications that bring together literary writing with cultural observation and narrative journalism. Her contributions explore how landscapes, food traditions, and daily encounters shape memory and identity.
