EPHRAT BELOOSESKY is a photographer, illustrator, and designer. She graduated from the Art Teacher's College in Ramat Hasharon and the photography department at Hadassah College in Jerusalem.
She also holds a Master’s degree in design for Interactive Media from Middlesex University in London.
She began her career as a press photographer for various newspapers and magazines in Israel during the late '80s and '90s. She later expanded her repertoire to include illustrations for publications in Israel and Europe.
Ephrat has also taught Interactive Design at various design and art schools, including the Bezalel Academy of Art in Jerusalem and the Shenkar Design School in Ramat Gan.
In 2002, she received the Rabinovich Foundation Prize for Plastic Arts. She has published two books: Black Nails, a collection of poetry and photography in collaboration with poet Ofra Shalev (2018), and Gender Jungle, a publication with The Actus Tragicus group (1996).
Throughout her career, she has held four solo exhibitions featuring her art, which include photography, illustrations, videos, and interactive artwork. She has also participated in numerous group exhibits, including at prestigious venues such as the Israel Museum in Jerusalem, the Bat Yam Museum, and the Naomi Givon Gallery.
She resides in Givatayim, Israel, with her family.
