ALINE MAGREZ was born in Brussels in 1990. After exploring the world of video installation at school and philosophy at the university, she was accepted to study at INSAS, Institut National Supérieur des Arts du Spectacle et des Techniques de Diffusion, in 2012. There, she pursued her training in directing. Her films are characterized for being sensitive journeys that explore singular perceptions.

In 2016, she directed NO’I, a documentary shot in Hanoi that received the Promotional Award in Internationale Kurzfilmtage Winterthur and other worldwide recognitions. In 2017, she wrote and directed PARALLAXE, a short fiction film featured here, and music videos for MacGray, Brick and Mortar, Backbone, and LIGIE. The latter won the Short Grand Prix at Warsaw International Film Festival, and other awards. Aline is now developing a full-length feature film with Frakas Productions. She finished a documentary, Queering Nature, for Belgian television, and is in post-production for another one.
