Searching for the Minotaur, an ongoing series, emerges from the resurfacing of age-old dilemmas. Once confined to the realm of science fiction, transgenic disease, and xenotransplantation now press against the boundaries of reality. Through the lens of the Minotaur myth—both romantic and tragic—the animal-human hybrid takes form in my latest paintings. A recent journey to Greece infused the work with new layers of inspiration.
