OTROK II

Boga sovraži.

Če bi imel bog tarčo

sredi čela, bi ga zadela

z eno roko in odpihnila

dim s cevi na pištoli.

To se ji ne bi smelo zgoditi,

to ve vsak otrok,

a se je zgodilo in se dogaja

še drugim kar naprej in naprej.

Zato naj ji nihče ne reče,

da je karkoli urejeno,

da je karkoli na svojem mestu

in smiselno, ker ni,

in to lahko vidi vsak otrok.

Ko bi bile izvzete

vsaj živali ali vsaj drevesa,

vsaj moški ali ženske,

ali starci, ko je koža tanka.

Vsaj otroci, vsaj mali.

Bila je njena izbira.

Lahko bi sovražila ljudi

in bi ostala sama na svetu,

toda taka, brezbožna,

vseeno ne more med njih.

ICHILD II

She hates God

If God had a target

in the middle of his forehead,

she would hit him with one hand

and blow on the smoking barrel.

This should not happen to her.

Every child knows it.

But it has, and it keeps happening

to others, again and again.

So let no one tell her

that anything is in order,

that anything has its place

or makes sense, because it doesn’t.

Every child can see that.

If only animals, or trees,

or men and women, or the old,

with paper-thin skin, were spared.

At least the children,

at least the little ones.

It was her choice.

She could hate people

and remain alone in the world,

but like this, godless,

she can't be among them, after all.
