I believe architectural structures, as repositories and vehicles for memory, profoundly shape culture and identity by providing a tangible framework through which the facets of a society are expressed. This belief has inspired me to create a body of work exploring how identity is influenced by the architectural edifices that define a given landscape. My work transcends mere documentation, serving instead as a sociopolitical and socioeconomic commentary on the effects of hubris, avarice, free trade, outsourcing, deregulation, deterritorialization, neoliberalism, obsolescence, and international finance capital on communities worldwide.

Engaging with Jacques Derrida’s theory of Hauntology, my paintings reflect the gradual disintegration of the future and the profound fragmentation of the past—a différance articulated through dramatic scale and proportion.
