The Night Washes the Mind,1994/5

This series was inspired by Mario Luzi’s poem La notte lava la mente (The Night Washes the Mind). Memories perpetually resurface; streams of consciousness advance unbridled and almost unwieldy. Here, the images are hallucinatory flashes from a life that seems simultaneously far removed yet tangible and vivid. Shadows and apparitions of silent figures inhabit these raw scenes.
